21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
We will begin our time of dedicated prayer and fasting on Monday, January 6th and end Sunday, January 26th.
We believe in the power of prayer and fasting. God's Word shows that when God's people humble themselves through prayer and fasting, it moves God's heart and positions us for supernatural encounters and breakthroughs. Every January, we start the year with this focused time of prayer and fasting to seek God's face and ask for divine direction for the year.
There are handouts and materials related to what fasting is, different kinds of fasting, and what it might look like to help guide you in this decision that will be sent out after you register. Most of our community will participate in what's called the Daniel Fast, which is a partial fast. This means that we will give up certain "choice" foods such as meat, dairy, sugar, and caffeine. You are invited to join us at whatever level you are able to. If you'd like to join for prayer alone, you are still welcome! We encourage you to spend time asking God what He might be asking of you during this time. Our church is also here to help! Please feel free to contact your small group leader or Pastor Chris if you'd like to talk about it with someone before making a decision.
Here are some of the ways we seek God together as a community during these 21 days:
- Weekday morning prayer calls - Start our days off with a time of prayer and God's Word.
- Weekday evening prayer gatherings - Ending our days with prayer and petition.
- Daily Prayer Journal - Guided topics and scriptures for our community to focus on in our daily prayers.
Please note that if you would like to receive printed copies of our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting materials, there is an option to select that in the registration form and you need to register by December 15! We will pass out printed materials at our Sunday worship gatherings in the weeks leading up to January 6.
